Randstad is seeking a skilled Native Android Engineer to join an embedded squad within a premier Australian digital banking transformation program. You will build native Android features focusing on card activation, transaction controls, and provisioning journeys, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You’ll write clean, testable Kotlin code, participate in CI/CD and security best practices, and contribute to a high-performing, agile delivery culture.

Qualifications

• Proficient in native Android development using Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of Jetpack Compose and modern architecture patterns.
• Experience with Kotlin coroutines and Room database.
• Understanding of mobile security principles and API integration.

The Opportunity

Are you an ambitious Android Engineer looking to build high impact, customer facing mobile experiences used by millions? We are seeking a skilled Native Android Engineer to join a high performing delivery squad embedded directly within one of Australia’s premier digital banking transformation programs.

The Role

As a core engineer in this embedded squad, you will:

• Build native Android features focused on card activation, flexible transaction controls, and payment provisioning journeys.
• Partner closely with product, design, architecture, and QA teams across an agile delivery framework.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable Kotlin code using standard modern architecture patterns.
• Contribute to continuous integration pipelines, mobile security best practices, and co debase health.

The Tech Stack & Environment

• Language & Core: Kotlin, Android Studio
• Architecture: Jet pack Compose, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles
• Asynchronous & Storage: Kotlin Co routines, Flow, Room database
• Tooling & Process: CI/CD, automated unit testing

What You'll Bring

• Commercial experience engineering robust, high volume native Android applications.
• Strong hands on expertise with Kotlin, Jet pack Compose, Co routines, and Room.
• Solid understanding of mobile security principles, API integration, and performance optimisation.
• Exposure to banking, payments, digital wallets, or card management systems is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and a cooperative mindset tailored for cross functional agile teams.
