Job summary

ME Medical Recruitment is representing a Staff Specialist / Senior Staff Specialist Anatomical Pathologist to join a leading hospital on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. This permanent full-time role (part-time considered) offers the chance to contribute to high-quality diagnostic services across a state-wide network.

Deliver timely and accurate anatomical pathology reports, participate in frozen section services and MDTs (onsite and remote), and support training, teaching, research, and quality

Qualifications

• Fellowship with FRCPA or equivalent.
• Eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated expertise in Anatomical Pathology.
• Familiarity with ISO 15189 and NATA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Anatomical Pathology diagnostic and consult services.
• Participate in frozen section services, MDTs, and after-hours on-call roster.
• Maintain high professional standards and objectivity in clinical practice.
• Support training, teaching, research and QA initiatives.

Position Highlights

• Remuneration: AUD $403,602 â– $504,547 + generous allowances (motor vehicle, professional development, retention & attraction)
• Classification: L18â–L27

Essential Criteria

• Fellowship with the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or equivalent
• Eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA
• Demonstrated expertise in Anatomical Pathology and commitment to clinical excellence
• Familiarity with ISO 15189 and NATA Medical Testing Requirements
