Job summary

Viatris is seeking an Analyst - Operations Finance to join the Carole Park-based team in Queensland. You will perform inventory valuation, cost accounting and month-end close activities, ensuring accurate costing and robust controls.

You will apply SAP FI/CO knowledge, support forecasting and budgeting across operational costs and product costing, and deliver meaningful insights to support business decisions. A finance or accounting degree and manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business.
• Experience in a manufacturing or product-based environment is desirable.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with advanced Excel capability.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP FI/CO modules are highly desirable.
• Time management, prioritisation and organisation across multiple deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to innovate and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory valuation, obsolescence analysis and SAP Product Costing activities, including standard cost maintenance and Material Ledger processes.
• Ensure accurate, reliable and compliant inventory and product costing information.
• Maintain robust SOX and inventory controls, including transaction monitoring, reconciliations and investigations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate analysis, documentation and financial information.
• Deliver accurate Month-End and Quarter-End activities, including journals, accruals, reclassifications and General Ledger reconciliations.
• Provide meaningful analysis and insights to support local and global business decision-making.
• Support forecasting and budgeting activities across operational costs, inventory and product costing.
• Build and maintain Cost Accounting and Product Costing capability to meet evolving business requirements.
• Contribute to processes, systems and controls improvements to enhance efficiency, data integrity and quality of financial information.

Currently the Viatris Carole Park Finance team is recruiting for an Analyst - Operations Finance to join the team! This role will be based at our Carole Park operations site.

Key duties of the Analyst - Operations Finance team include but are not limited to:

• Perform inventory valuation, obsolescence analysis and SAP Product Costing activities, including standard cost maintenance and Material Ledger processes.

To be considered for this role candidates should possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business, and/or similar;
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or product-based environment is highly desirable;
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with advanced Excel capability.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP FI/CO modules are highly desirable;
• Time management, prioritisation and organisation skills across a number of deliverables;
• Excellent written and verbal skills, including the ability to present information effectively and outstanding attention to detail;
