Job summary

The Perth Mint in East Perth is seeking an Analyst Information Security to join our Business Technology Team in a permanent, full-time role with flexible hours. You will contribute to safeguarding our information systems and data, conducting security assessments, applying patches, and monitoring for threats.

You will support security controls planning and documentation while collaborating across the business to strengthen our security posture and resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Studying towards CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, or other security qualifications.
• Understanding of cybersecurity standards and frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001/27002, ASD Essential Eight).
• Knowledge of risk management principles and IT security controls.

• Proactively monitor security alerts and systems for threats and incidents.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for an Analyst Information Security to join our Business Technology Team. This is a permanent role with full-time hours, based in our East Perth office.

As an Analyst Information Security, you will play a key role in safeguarding the Corporation's information systems and data. You will conduct security assessments, ensure systems remain current with security updates and patches, and proactively monitor security alerts and systems for potential cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security incidents. You will also support the planning, implementation, and documentation of the Corporation's information security controls, helping to strengthen our security posture and mitigate the risk of security breaches. Working collaboratively across the business, you will contribute to maintaining a secure and resilient technology environment.

ABOUT YOU

You will bring a strong foundation in information technology and a genuine interest in cybersecurity. Must have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline and be studying towards industry-recognised certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, or other relevant security qualifications. You will possess an understanding of cybersecurity standards and frameworks, including NIST, ISO 27001/27002, and the ASD Essential Eight, along with knowledge of risk management principles and general IT security controls. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks will help you excel in this role.
