AAL has announced $1 billion in capital investment over the next five years with significant aeronautical, aviation, and technology infrastructure upgrades, plus commercial property developments at Adelaide and Parafield Airport sites.

About the role: This pivotal role supports the effective development, monitoring, and implementation of the annual capital plan, shaping future infrastructure for Adelaide and Parafield Airports. You will work with internal teams and airline partners to ensure investments align with operational needs and strategic objectives, with a focus on stakeholder engagement, commercial strategy, and project coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Capital Planning & Airline Engagement Manager with the capital planning process for both airports.
  • Contributing to strategic capacity planning across key passenger processing areas (check-in, security screening, gates, aircraft bays) to optimise passenger flow and operational efficiency; assisting and contributing to the preparation of project scopes, business cases/project rationales, financial models, and financial reports that guide investment decisions.
  • Assisting Project Managers with creating cash flow reports.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to build positive working relationships to support ongoing capital expansion of the Airport.
What you will bring / Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in a business-related field such as Finance, Commerce, or Economics.
  • Up to 5 years of experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Excel skills, including complex financial/scenario model creation.
  • A proactive attitude with a desire to learn about capital planning and project coordination.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) to work effectively with different teams and stakeholders.
