Qualifications

The Opportunity

A full-time Consultant Anaesthetist opportunity is available within a substantial coastal regional health service in Victoria. This role offers broad elective and emergency exposure within a well-established consultant-led department. You will contribute to peri-operative medicine, education, audit and service leadership while practising high-quality anaesthesia across a diverse case mix. For specialists seeking clinical depth within a stable regional referral centre — combined with coastal lifestyle access — this represents a strong and sustainable appointment.

The Hospital

• This large regional referral hospital (approximately 250–300 beds) provides comprehensive services including:
• Medical and surgical services
• Obstetrics & Gynaecology
• Paediatrics
• Mental health services
• Community-based and extended care

The hospital functions as the primary acute referral centre for its region and supports a broad catchment through both inpatient and community services.

The Anaesthetic Department is well supported by experienced consultants, junior medical staff and multidisciplinary teams, with strong links to teaching and training. Accredited for 52 weeks training with ANZCA.
