An exciting opportunity is available for a Consultant Anaesthetist to join the growing Surgical and Perioperative Services Division at Latrobe Regional Health (LRH).

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Anaesthetist seeking a role within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment where you will provide high-quality anaesthetic and perioperative care across inpatient and outpatient services.

The successful candidate will contribute to clinical leadership, supervision and education of junior medical staff, service planning and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
About the Role As an Anaesthetist at Latrobe Regional Health, you will:

• Deliver safe, high-quality anaesthetic care across a range of inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Ensure clinical practice complies with LRH policies, relevant legislation and current clinical guidelines.
• Provide comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation, including treatment plans, patient outcomes and clinical events.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication and clinical handover.
• Provide supervision, support and clinical leadership to junior medical staff, medical students and other health professional learners.
• Contribute to the development, implementation and review of clinical protocols and guidelines.
• Participate in service improvement and continuous professional development initiatives.
• Contribute to a culture of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia / AHPRA.
• Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA).
• Demonstrated clinical competence and experience appropriate to the responsibilities of an Anaesthetist.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with patients, carers and colleagues.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience providing supervision and support to junior medical staff and contributing to professional education.
• A commitment to quality improvement, clinical governance and ongoing professional development.
