Stream Healthcare in Sydney, NSW is seeking experienced perioperative Registered Nurses to join a prestigious private hospital. You will work across Anaesthetics, PACU and Scrub/ Scout in a high-performing surgical environment focused on patient safety and excellence.

We offer flexible Part-Time or Full-Time roles, competitive hourly rates of $45–$59 per hour plus super and benefits, plus ongoing education and development within a supportive perioperative team.

Qualifications

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to join the perioperative team at one of Sydney’s most prestigious and sought-after private hospitals.

We are seeking a skilled nurse across Anaesthetics, PACU and Scrub/Scout who are looking to work within a high-performing surgical environment where clinical excellence, teamwork and exceptional patient care are at the heart of everything we do.

The Opportunity

You will be part of a highly professional and collaborative perioperative team, working alongside leading surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses and allied health professionals across a diverse range of surgical specialties.

Anaesthetics

• Prepare patients, equipment and medications for a wide range of surgical procedures
• Assist the anaesthetist throughout the perioperative journey
• Maintain a high standard of patient safety and clinical care
• Monitor patients and respond appropriately to changes in their condition

PACU/Recovery

• Provide exceptional care to patients recovering from anaesthesia and surgery
• Undertake comprehensive post-operative assessments and monitoring
• Recognise and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Provide effective pain, airway and nausea management
• Support patients through the immediate post-operative period

Scrub/Scout

• Work as an integral member of the surgical team
• Provide safe and efficient scrub and scout support
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment and procedures
• Maintain strict sterile technique and infection prevention standards
• Contribute to safe, efficient and high-quality surgical outcomes

We are seeking Registered Nurses who bring clinical expertise, professionalism and a genuine commitment to exceptional patient care.

You will ideally have:

• Current AHPRA registration
• Recent experience in Anaesthetics, PACU/Recovery and/or Scrub/Scout
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced surgical environment
• A strong understanding of patient safety, infection prevention and clinical governance
• A collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork
• A commitment to professional development and clinical excellence

Perioperative qualifications and experience across multiple areas will be highly regarded.
