Lismore Base Hospital is a regional referral Level 5 base hospital with a state-of-the-art operating theatre suite, ICU/CCU, imaging, Cardiac Cath Lab, and most major specialties and subspecialties. The hospital's Emergency Department is comprehensive and designated as the Trauma Centre for Northern NSW, featuring an on-site rooftop helipad as part of our Retrieval Service.

The specialists will be required to cover Monday to Friday full-day lists. Due to changing circumstances, there may also be a requirement for after-hours on-call duties.

Lists routinely commence at 0700 hours each day and end at 1800 hours or upon completion of the list, according to NSW Daylight Saving time.

Currently, there are no rostered on-call requirements, but this may change and will be advised.

Please remind your specialists that under no circumstances should they bring personal digital devices into our theatres.

We will pay a reasonable negotiated daily rate for a 24-hour period, all-inclusive. Accommodation will be provided if available, along with a hire car, and reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Ensure any locum presenting for consideration is job-ready, with current NSW Working with Children clearance, national criminal record clearance, evidence of vaccination/immunisation, and has completed all mandatory training modules including eMR and eMEDS prior to commencement.
