NSW Health is seeking an Anaesthetic Registered Nurse for the Randwick Campus Operating Suite (RCOS) at Prince of Wales Hospital. The role involves delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred anaesthetic nursing care, coordinating care across the team, and maintaining thorough documentation in a busy perioperative setting.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
• Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and to guide others in providing service excellence.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
• Strong computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, Work Health and Safety and quality principles and the role of the Registered Nurse in applying these principles.
• Recent postgraduate clinical experience in an anaesthetic nursing within an acute hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care in accordance with standards.
• Coordinate and implement nursing care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate with patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise and delegate to Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical supervision and ongoing professional development.
