Southern Highlands Private Hospital in Bowral NSW seeks an experienced Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to join the Anaesthetics team on a casual basis. You will support patients through the perioperative journey, ensuring compassionate, safe and efficient care within a supportive hospital environment.

You bring experience in anaesthetics/theatre or recovery, or high-acuity settings, with strong communication and teamwork. Flexible roster and commitment to patient safety are essential.

Formación

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
• Experience in anaesthetics, theatre or recovery nursing or high-acuity settings (ICU/ED).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexibly on a casual roster.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with patient preparation for anaesthetic procedures.
• Support the anaesthetic team during perioperative care within scope of practice.
• Monitor patients and report changes to the clinician promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised clinical environment.
• Follow infection prevention and medication safety policies.
• Accurately document patient care and clinical information.
• Collaborate with anaesthetists and surgeons to deliver high-quality care.

Southern Highlands Private Hospital – Bowral NSW

Southern Highlands Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to join our Anaesthetics team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated nursing professional with theatre and recovery experience to contribute to safe, high-quality patient care in a supportive hospital environment.

Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, you will support patients throughout the perioperative journey, ensuring they receive compassionate, safe and efficient care.

About You

You are a dedicated nursing professional with experience or a strong interest in anaesthetics and perioperative nursing. We are also interested in nurses with experience in high-acuity clinical environments, such as Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Emergency Department (ED). You demonstrate sound clinical judgement, excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient safety and positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of patients for anaesthetic procedures.
• Support the anaesthetic team during perioperative care in accordance with your scope of practice.
• Monitor patients and promptly communicate any changes in their condition to the appropriate clinician.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised clinical environment.
• Follow infection prevention, medication safety and hospital policies and procedures.
• Accurately document patient care and clinical information.
• Work collaboratively with anaesthetists, surgeons and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient-centred care.
