NSW Health's Northern Beaches Hospital is looking for experienced anaesthetic nurses to join our perioperative team on a permanent basis. Roles are available as full-time or part-time, with a 38-hour week and competitive remuneration.
You will work closely with anaesthetists to prepare patients for procedures, assist during induction and maintenance of anaesthesia, and monitor patient safety in the perioperative setting. AHPRA registration and strong teamwork are essential.

Where you'll be working
The Interventional Suite accommodates adult & paediatrics patients, for planned & unplanned procedures &/or surgery. It comprises: 14 state-of-the-art operating theatres including a hybrid theatre & a cardiothoracic theatre; 2 Cardiac Catheter Labs; 4 Procedure Rooms; 41 bed Recovery Unit; and state of the art Sterilizing Services Department.
What you'll be doing
As an anaesthetic nurse at Northern Beaches Hospital, you can expect to work closely with anaesthetists to prepare patients for procedures, assist during induction and maintenance of anaesthesia, and monitor patient safety throughout surgery. The role involves managing specialised equipment, responding quickly to changes in patient condition, and supporting recovery in the post-anaesthesia care unit. You will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced perioperative environment, to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcome.ensuring high standards of clinical care and patient comfort.
You will support a culture of continuous learning, teamwork and innovation, and contributes to service excellence through participation in quality improvement initiatives, education, research and accreditation activities, while maintaining professional competency standards and compliance with NSW Health and NSLHD policies and procedures.
