Job summary

BOQ Group in Sydney is seeking an AML Operations Analyst to join our Financial Crime Operations team. You will make timely, data-driven calls on alerts from analytics-driven monitoring systems, determine when to escalate or report, and support screening across customers and payments while staying compliant with AUSTRAC requirements.

You’ll collaborate with Financial Crime Compliance, Risk and Assurance to ensure the right actions are taken at the right time, and you’ll be encouraged to bring

Qualifications

• Experience in screening or transaction monitoring is nice to have but not mandatory with banking experience a must.
• Familiarity with sanctions, PEPs and ECDD language is beneficial.
• ACAMS, ICA or CCP credentials are preferred on CV.

Responsibilities

• Review alerts in analytics-driven monitoring systems and decide on escalation or reporting actions.
• Perform customer and payment screening and assist with regulatory reporting exceptions as needed.
• Collaborate with Financial Crime Compliance, Risk and Assurance to ensure timely, compliant decisions.
• Contribute ideas to improve monitoring processes and data quality while managing workload efficiently.
