Job summary

YSAS Youth Support and Advocacy Service – Collingwood headspace is seeking an Allied Health Practitioner to deliver mental health support for young people aged 12–25. The role operates under the Better Health Medicare bulk billing model and works independently within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The position offers bulk billing benefits, professional supports, and access to practice management for patient allocation and follow-ups.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration is required to practice.
• Experience delivering focused psychological services to youth.
• Ability to work within bulk-billing Medicare framework.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based psychological services to youth aged 12–25.
• Complete case notes, risk assessments and care escalation as required.
• Maintain CPD and credentialing for MBS eligibility and professional registration.
• Work within privacy, safety, and workplace regulations.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and GPs.
• Coordinate with reception and admin for patient flow and documentation.

Exciting opportunity to work at Collingwood headspace supporting young people between the ages of 12-25. This role is an independent role as an Allied Health Practitioner delivering mental health support under the Better Health Medicare bulk bill model.

About the position

Access to the Practice Manager for new client allocation and non-attendance follow ups

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

• Provision of evidence based focused psychological services
• Compliance with case noting, risk assessment and care escalation processes, and outcome measurement requirements
• Work within the bounds of relevant legislation and regulations (e.g. Privacy, Fair Work, OHS) and relevant professional codes
• Maintain CPD and credentialing requirements for MBS eligibility and professional registration
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement
• Collaborate with other support services
