Job summary

Plena Healthcare is seeking a casual Allied Health Assistant to support Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in Residential Aged Care in Perth's North East. The role combines clinical duties with administrative tasks, delivering high-quality, goals-based exercise programs and group activities for residents.

You will assist with gym setup, patient transports, equipment orders, and progress discussions with the therapy team, while contributing to care plans and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physiotherapy services under the direction of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in Residential Aged Care settings.
• Assist with administrative tasks as guided by the physiotherapists.
• Transport residents to and from the therapy gym or appointments as required.
• Set up and tidy the physiotherapy gym and clean equipment.
• Order prescribed equipment and track supplies.
• Run exercise groups and individual therapy sessions.
• Support initiatives to meet client and contract expectations.
• Consult with therapists on adaptations/ progression of treatment plans.
