Job summary

Alliance Clinics in Mackay is seeking an Allied Health Assistant to support children and adults across a varied caseload. You may be a qualified AHA or have a related allied health background, or be a teacher aide/early childhood educator seeking a change.

You will work under supervision of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians and Physiotherapists, delivering therapy activities and helping participants progress toward independence.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate clearly with participants and clinicians.
• Comfort with documenting progress and keeping accurate records.
• Certificate or background in allied health assistance or related field.
• First Aid and CPR certification are required.
• Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening clearance are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualised therapy activities per clinician guidance.
• Adapt resources and activities as directed by clinicians.
• Build rapport and keep participants engaged during sessions.
• Record sessions and communicate progress to supervising clinicians.
• Prepare therapy spaces and resources for sessions.
