Do you want to provide clinical and administrative assistance and support to Allied Health Professionals to ensure the delivery of a high-quality rehabilitation service? Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently looking for Allied Health Assistants to join the Allied Health Services team on both a casual and part-time basis.

As an Allied Health Assistant your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting members of the Allied Health team to provide a high standard of clinical care to patients
  • Working under the direction and supervision of physiotherapists and occupational therapists to help clients achieve their rehabilitation goals
  • Completing non-patient-based duties, such as cleaning, auditing, completing checklists etc.

Essential Criteria:

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance desired/ would be highly valued
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, manage time effectively and complete activities
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy roles
  • Experience working with or providing care to frail/aged/disabled people in a health care setting or a basic understanding of exercise programs
  • Must be available to work weekdays as well as occasional weekend shifts
