The Cove Kitchen, Newcastle Airport, is hiring a friendly, multiskilled Food & Beverage Attendant on a casual basis. If you love coffee, connecting with customers and working as part of a busy team, we'd love to hear from you.

You’ll prepare and serve quality coffee, handle food and beverage service, process orders and payments, and help keep the venue clean and welcoming. NSW RSA certification is essential, as our café is licensed to serve alcohol.

Qualifications

What you'll be doing

From making someone's morning coffee to helping a customer find exactly what they need, you'll play an important role in creating a great customer experience.

You'll be involved in:

• Preparing and serving quality coffee using your barista skills
• Providing friendly and welcoming customer service
• Serving food and beverages
• Processing customer orders and payments
• Supporting retail operations and key retail duties
• Working across multiple venues and areas as required
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and service
• Ensuring the responsible service of alcohol in our licensed café

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who brings energy, flexibility and a genuine passion for people.

You'll ideally have:

• Strong barista and coffee-making skills
• A genuine people-person attitude and a passion for customer service
• A current NSW RSA certificate – essential, as our café is licensed to sell alcohol
• Experience in hospitality, retail or customer service
• A multiskilled and flexible approach, with a willingness to get involved wherever needed
• Confidence working across different venues, tasks and customer needs
• A positive, reliable and professional approach
