We are seeking a hands-on customer focused Leader with experience in a similar role to join our Flight Catering team as an Airline Catering Delivery Supervisor at Melbourne Airport.

More about this role:

Reporting to the Customer Delivery Manager, this role is responsible for supervising all aspects of the dnata catering customer delivery strategy, and all operations from the catering centre to the aircraft. You will assist in the optimisation and integration of an end-to-end catering delivery service.

In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are:

  • Perform all activities our Airside Drivers undertake whilst on shift, including support with delivery of food and equipment to customer aircraft.
  • Support the Customer Delivery Manager to achieve all weekly operational targets
  • Coordinate day to day activities associated with labour activities and aircraft movements, to achieve accurate operational KPI's
  • Driving collaboration through systems and processes with internal and external customers to avert delays and ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met
  • Undertake all possible actions to achieve no delays and compliance with the PTS
  • Investigate all delays to root cause level and implement any corrective actions or make recommendations
  • Support the Operations team, including all Departmental Coordinators, Leading Hands and/or Resource Coordinators in managing daily operational variances and assist with the decision making in operational matters
  • Support the management of team performance and provide effective development and coaching to ensure optimum levels of team and individual performance
  • Ensure staff compliance with relevant regulatory compliance such as Airside Driving Regulations, Food Safety, Australian Quarantine and Customs regulations.
  • Assist People & Culture team and Dept Trainers with onsite technical training

What do you need to be successful in the role?

  • Proven Leadership experience in a similar environment
  • Experience with customer service, inventory control, and management systems
  • Displays business and industry acumen understanding
  • Previous success achieving KPI targets and adherence to all Safety, Health and Environmental requirements
  • Ability to build constructive and effective working relationships in formal and informal networks with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to energize and align team members to a shared vision, inspiring a climate of high standards and consistent performance
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions and act on initiative
  • Proven adaptability to changing environments
  • As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
