Job summary

Qantas Airways is seeking an Aircraft Worker based at Sydney Airport to maintain fleet presentation and support hangar operations. You will work on a rotating four days on, four days off roster, performing cabin and aircraft cleaning, cleaning duties, and general janitorial support to the engineering hangar.

You will contribute to the group’s fleet presentation standards, demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and leadership, and hold a current NSW driver’s license and an Airside license.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with both verbal and written clarity.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and show initiative.
• Leadership qualities suitable for a hands-on maintenance role.
• A current NSW driver’s licence and Airside driver’s licence are required.
• Basic IT knowledge to use standard software and systems.
• Flexibility to work day and night shifts and public holidays as part of a rotating roster.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fleet presentation across the group and support hangar maintenance.
• Carry out cabin and aircraft washing and deep cleans.
• Perform cargo cleaning, seat cover changes, and lavatory servicing.
• Apply residual pesticide and quarantine sprays as required.
• Carry out carpet shampooing and other cleaning tasks.
• Provide general janitorial support within the engineering hangar.

As anAircraft Worker, you will be responsible for the daily upkeep and maintenance of fleet presentation across the group, working in a supportive environment on a rotating roster of four days on and four days off. The role contributes to the group’s overall fleet presentation and includes tasks such as cabin and aircraft washing deep cleans, cargo cleaning, internal aircraft seat cover changes, residual pesticide and quarantine sprays, carpet shampooing, lavatory and watering servicing, as well as providing general janitorial support to the engineering hangar.

• A current valid NSW driver’s licence

• You will be expected to apply and hold a current Airside driver’s license
