Heston MRO Pty Ltd (Heston MRO) is a provider of world class aircraft maintenance services to a wide variety of domestic and international airlines, operating in Australia since 1992.

We arecurrently seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Planner to join our Melbourne station on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a diverse and growing team supporting Heston’s expanding client and aircraft base. While we have a strong preference for experienced candidates, there may be scope for development on the job for the right candidate. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning for cross fleet tasks, providing forecast reporting for locations and dates
  • Coordinate production planning and resource scheduling
  • Ensuring tooling, equipment and resources are available for scheduled works
  • Review of work packs for sign off and billing
  • Develop a rolling quarterly maintenance plan
  • Liaise with Heston stations nationally to ensure appropriate resourcing and performance
  • Have at least 2 years maintenance planning exp
  • Previous experience in line maintenance operations and requirements
  • Be familiar with CASA maintenance regulations
  • Strong safe work ethic and practical understanding of safe work systems
  • Be able to satisfy pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • ASIC and ADA eligibility
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule

Desirable but not essential criteria includes:

  • Cert IV in Aeroskills trade or equiv
  • Strong excel and Microsoft skills
  • Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold a required visa-type permitting work in Australia
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years aircraft maintenance experience
  • Familiarity with CASA regulations
  • Be in possession of a valid state driver’s licence
  • Possess a high standard of both written and spoken English and great attention to detail
