Job summary

TAE Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Technician to join our Adelaide Airport team to perform heavy maintenance on PT6 gas turbine engines. You will work in accordance with OEM documentation and airworthiness requirements, recording progress in our ERP system and worksheets.

The role emphasises safety, accuracy, and teamwork to meet customer needs. Ideal candidates will have PT6 engine maintenance experience, knowledge of engine strip, inspection and assembly, and familiarity

Qualifications

  • PT6 engine maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of engine strip, detailed inspection and assembly.
  • Experience with OEM documentation and airworthiness rules.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
  • Maintain documentation using maintenance worksheets.

The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician to join the team based at Adelaide Airport to work on PT6 engines. Your duties will include:

  • Perform heavy engine maintenance on gas turbine engines
  • Work in accordance with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) documentation and airworthiness requirements
  • Utilise ERP and maintenance worksheets to accurately record job progress
  • Identify and act on opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain a clean & tidy work area free of foreign object damage (FOD)
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure own safety and the safety of others
  • Actively participate as a team member to achieve team goals and deliver to the customer.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A passion and drive to deliver to keep their customers flying
  • PT6 engine maintenance experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge of engine strip, detailed inspection and assembly
  • Experience in carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance work in accordance with OEM documentation
  • Experience working within airworthiness rules and regulatory requirements
  • Experience working with both manual and automated tools and equipment
  • High level of accuracy and the ability to read and interpret technical manuals
  • Machining and general engineering knowledge an advantage.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrable knowledge of strip, detailed inspection and assembly of the gas turbine engine
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience working within airworthiness rules and regulatory requirements
  • The ability to maintain documentation of work in progress and composition of maintenance worksheets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals to meet regulatory requirements
  • A passion and drive to deliver to keep their customers flying
