Job summary

Downer is inviting applications for Aircraft Baggage Handler & Ground Crew in Australia. The role involves loading/unloading baggage and cargo, marshalling aircraft, and operating ground support equipment to maintain safe airside operations.

Qualifications

Downer has been awarded the Property and Asset Services (PAS) contract to deliver base and estate services across their two largest regions NSW/ACT and QLD. This is a significant milestone for our business and our enduring 80+ year relationship with the Australian Defence Force.

What You'll Do

• Loading and unload baggage, cargo, and freight.
• Marshalling aircraft.
• Operating ground support equipment; and
• Maintaining safe airside operations in accordance with relevant standards.

What You'll Bring

• Completed: RIICBS316 - Conduct Pavement Sweeping Operations (desirable)
• Airside Awareness Training
• Ability to obtain and retain a Defence security clearance
• Certificate II in Aviation (Ground Operations and Service) - Recommended
• Airside Driver Authority (ADA) - Recommended
• Knowledge of safe loading and unloading procedures
• Valid Driver's Licence
• MUST be Australian Citizen to obtain Defence Security Clearance
