Melbourne Wide Electrical is seeking a qualified Air Conditioning Service & Installation Technician to join our professional team in Melbourne. You will carry out domestic servicing, breakdown repairs and split system installations across the Melbourne area.

We offer hourly pay of $50–$60 plus super, a $1,500 sign-on bonus, a take-home vehicle, bonuses for performance and customer service, and regular training with opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Relevant air conditioning and refrigeration trade qualification.
• Current refrigerant handling licence and electrical licence.
• Proven experience in domestic servicing, fault-finding and split system installations.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Professional communication and customer-service skills.
• Current Victorian driver’s licence; manual licence preferred.
• White Card and relevant tickets or certifications.
• The right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission new and replacement split system air conditioners.
• Service, diagnose and repair domestic split and ducted air conditioning systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and recommend practical repair or replacement options.
• Communicate clearly with customers about findings and proposed work.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and attention to detail.
• Complete accurate job notes, photos, parts requirements and relevant testing and compliance documentation.

About you

• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
• Professional communication and customer‑service skills.
• Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work independently.
• Current Victorian driver’s licence; manual licence preferred.
• White Card and relevant tickets or certifications.
• The right to work in Australia.
• Gas ducted heating and evaporative cooling experience would be an advantage.

A satisfactory police check and Working with Children Check are required for appointment.
