Job summary

Carrier Australia is seeking a motivated Air Conditioning Apprentice to learn from experienced HVAC technicians while you study with TAFE. This role combines on-the-job training with formal apprenticeship studies, giving you exposure to installation, servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repair of HVAC systems.

You’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of equipment, develop technical skills, work with customers and progress toward becoming a qualified Air Conditioning and Refrigeration

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, servicing and maintenance of air conditioning and HVAC equipment.
• Learn how to fault-find and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and servicing.
• Support the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Learn to safely use hand and power tools.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Follow Carrier’s health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Attend TAFE and complete all required apprenticeship training and assessments.
• Develop your technical knowledge and practical skills through hands‑on experience.
• Work professionally with customers and colleagues across a range of customer sites.
