Assistant in Nursing / Personal Care Assistant (AIN/PCA) - Uringa Hostel | Tumby Bay, South Australia

About the Role

Provide high-quality aged-care support at Uringa Hostel Tumby Bay Multi-Purpose Service (MPS). Staff may be redeployed to alternate areas on a shift-by-shift basis at the discretion of the organisation, ensuring operational needs and skill mix are met.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 months full-time equivalent experience as AIN/PCA.
• Additional 6 months practice or relevant postgraduate qualification if assigned to a specialised area such as critical care, mental health, paediatrics, operating theatres, or emergency departments.
• Ability to work within SA Health roster guidelines (Saturday-Friday roster periods).

Mandatory Clearances

• Working With Children Check (SA) - or interstate WWCC plus SA application receipt.
• Current National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months; not 'Name Check Only').
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (required for aged-care/community placements).
• Government-issued Photo Identification (current).

Contract Details

• Duration: Approximately 18 weeks
• FTE: 0.83 to 1.0 (Full-time = 76 hours per fortnight)
• Hours: As per roster; overtime payable only after 76 hours per fortnight with prior approval

Travel & Accommodation

• Accommodation: Shared, unisex accommodation provided by EFNLHN (must sign agreement and follow rules).
• Travel Reimbursement: Actual travel expenses to/from Adelaide or within SA reimbursed upon valid documentation. Interstate travel costs are not covered.
