Job summary

Nine in Australia is seeking an AI Product Manager, Custom Solutions, to lead bespoke AI projects from discovery to production, partnering with data scientists, engineers, and commercial stakeholders. You will translate business needs into technical specs, manage ROI-focused roadmaps, and ensure responsible AI and data privacy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of product management experience with a focus on AI or ML products.
• Background in business analysis with skills in technical writing and process mapping.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI tooling and architectures (Generative AI, RAG, multi-agent).
• Solid understanding of data warehouse ecosystems (GCP) and data pipelines for AI development.
• Clear architectural judgment on deploying deterministic vs probabilistic AI.
• Hands-on approach to embedding AI tools into workflows with quality control.
• Experience taking AI products through the full lifecycle using Agile methods.
• Familiarity with AI governance, data privacy, and ethical AI deployment.
• Strong commercial acumen evaluating feasibility, risk, and ROI.
• Ability to translate data science concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end lifecycle of bespoke AI solutions from discovery to production.
• Map workflows to identify opportunities for custom AI integration.
• Translate capabilities (Agentic AI, Generative AI, ML) into specs and PRDs.
• Maintain the AI product roadmap based on ROI and feasibility.
• Conduct feasibility analyses and risk assessments for AI apps.
• Establish testing frameworks and lead UAT with feedback loops.
• Track and report product performance metrics and ROI.
• Ensure adherence to Responsible AI and data privacy regulations.
