University of New South Wales – Kensington NSW is seeking a technically strong software engineer to lead the development of scalable AI-enabled education platforms and applications for the Business Faculty. You will work with Education Designers, academics, and partners to turn ideas into production-ready solutions for large cohorts.

You will bring strong full- stack development experience, expertise with LLMs and AI APIs, cloud platforms, APIs and databases, plus a practical understanding of

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in software engineering, computer science, AI or related field or equivalent competence.
• Strong full-stack development experience with modern languages & frameworks.
• Experience building AI-enabled apps using LLMs, AI APIs and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy full‑stack AI-enabled education platforms, apps and tools.
• Develop solutions using LLMs, RAG, conversational AI, agentic workflows and automation.
• Lead platform architecture, integrations and technical standards across cloud services and learning systems.
• Prototype, test and improve solutions based on user feedback and needs.
• Ensure solutions are secure, accessible, reliable, scalable and maintainable.
