Jetstar, part of the Qantas Group, Melbourne, seeks an AI Governance & Enablement Specialist to run Jetstar’s AI governance day to day, classify use cases by risk, and maintain an accurate governance register.

You’ll work with business, technology, data, cyber security and risk teams, applying ISO/IEC 42001 and NIST AI RMF, with authority to pause non-compliant AI.

Competenze

• 3+ years of experience in AI, emerging tech or automation governance, assurance, or controls in an operating business.
• Experience running a governance process day to day with supporting tooling (inventory, control library, or assessment workflow).
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF and Australian Government AI guidance.
• Ability to review model cards, assess evaluations, and flag production risks.
• Experience assessing use cases for value, feasibility and total cost of ownership.
• Awareness of third-party model security risks and engaging Cybersecurity as a peer.
• A relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
• IAPP AIGP or ISO/IEC 42001 credentials are desirable.

• Run Jetstar’s AI governance framework and register per Qantas Group standards (observability, oversight, transparency, fairness, privacy, accountability).
• Classify AI use cases, set oversight and approval paths, maintain governance records and audit trails.
• Govern staff-built AI at scale with guardrails, platform controls, and AI Champions network.
• Assess new AI/automation ideas for value, feasibility, risk, data readiness, and TCO before build begins.
• Implement control requirements for agentic AI (identity, tool permissions, data access) with owners.
• Operate governance gates through delivery, confirm go-live readiness, obtain attestations from owners.
