Job summary

Nuage is seeking a data scientist-turned-AI engineer to build and ship production AI applications in Sydney. You’ll design churn, recommendation and next-best-action models and integrate LLMs and agentic approaches into scalable pipelines.

You'll own end-to-end development, from data analysis to CI/CD, ensuring robust, maintainable systems across API services and RAG architectures in a contract-based role for Sydney-based candidates.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data science and AI with production models shipped.
• Hands-on churn, recommendation and NBA experience.
• LLM/agentic production experience with RAG architecture.

Job description

My client are looking for a data scientist who has moved into AI Engineering, who has actually shipped models that move numbers. Not dashboards. Not proofs of concept.

You’ll build churn, recommendation and next best action models that shape how millions of people engage and subscribe, then bring LLM and agentic approaches into that work.

The role

• Design, build and deploy production AI apps, RAG pipelines, API services and LLM integrations
• Deliver churn, recommendation backed by solid quantitative and statistical analysis
• Keep production healthy with strong CI/CD and no single points of failure

You’ll bring

• Around 8 years in data science and AI, with production models and applications shipped
• Hands-on churn, recommendation and next best action experience
• LLM and agentic experience, including production RAG architecture
• Advanced Python (FastAPI, LangChain/LlamaIndex) and SQL
• GCP, AWS or Azure, plus Docker, Git, CI/CD and automated testing

This is contract based role for Sydney based candidates that hold full working rights.
