Job summary

Macquarie Group’s Commodities and Global Markets team is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to document business processes, data flows, and system interactions within a complex technology environment. You will validate findings with data, leveraging SQL and AI-enabled tools, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable technology solutions across trading and operations.

You will work closely with front office, operations, technology, and external partners, using data lineage,

Qualifications

5-7 years of experience analysing structured data and investigating complex business or technology problems.
Strong SQL skills and ability to interpret technical documentation, APIs, and system logs.
Experience documenting business processes and data lineage for stakeholders.
Experience using AI-enabled tools or automation solutions with evidence-based verification.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication across business and technology teams.

Responsibilities

Analyse operational workflows, data flows, and system interactions across trading and operational platforms.
Investigate discrepancies to establish trusted sources of truth and deliver evidence-based insights.
Use SQL, data analysis, and AI-enabled tools to validate findings and document processes and data lineage.
Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable technology solutions.
