Job summary

Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) in Canberra, Brisbane or Melbourne seeks a DevOps Engineer (Artificial Intelligence) to design, build, and operate AI-enabled features inside ARDC’s national data products. You will join our DevOps team and help establish ARDC’s engineering practice for running AI safely and responsibly.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
• Experience in Australian higher education or research sector, with understanding of research infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate AI-enabled features and services within ARDC’s products.
• Evaluate models and AI services for quality, reliability, bias and safety.
• Deploy and operate AI and ML workloads, including model serving, vector and search stores and CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply secure and privacy-preserving practices, and follow ARDC’s AI governance requirements.
