Job summary

GHD in Brisbane is seeking an AI software engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy AI-enabled applications. You will translate business needs into scalable AI architectures and build APIs and data pipelines to support AI solutions.

You will evaluate emerging AI technologies, optimize models for performance and security, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The role offers a hybrid work model with in-office collaboration three days a week.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Experience building, deploying, and supporting AI or machine learning solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI and Large Language Model technologies.
• Experience developing REST APIs and cloud-native applications.
• Knowledge of Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, or equivalent cloud AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-enabled applications and solutions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable AI and software architectures.
• Build and integrate Generative AI, machine learning, and automation solutions into existing platforms and workflows.
• Develop and maintain APIs, services, and data pipelines supporting AI applications.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative approaches to solve business challenges.
• Optimize AI models and applications for performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Conduct troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning of AI systems.
• Contribute to technical standards, architecture decisions, and best practices.
• Mentor team members and share knowledge across the development community.
• Ensure responsible AI principles, data privacy, security, and governance requirements are incorporated into solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in artificial intelligence and software engineering.
