Job summary

theBOSSapp is seeking a Software Developer to design, build and ship features for web and mobile, with AI coding tools at the centre of the workflow. You will transform customer problems into reliable, well-tested code and review code for quality, security and maintainability in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

You’ll work closely with a collaborative team, applying AI-assisted planning and implementation while continuously improving the product.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or software engineering or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools in real development work.
• Skills in PHP and Laravel, React and TypeScript, and MySQL.
• Solid software fundamentals: architecture, testing, debugging and maintainable code.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with AWS and Git.
• Clear communicator and team player.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and maintain features across web and mobile.
• Use AI coding tools and agents throughout daily work, from planning to testing.
• Turn customer problems into clean, reliable, well-tested code.
• Review code, whether AI- or human-written, with focus on quality and security.
• Share what works and help shape AI-informed development practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production.
