Job summary

Professional Recruitment Australia in Sydney is seeking an AI DevSecOps Governance SME for a 12-month contract. You will lead the implementation of AI-powered governance frameworks, security standards and compliance checks across the enterprise SDLC, embedding intelligent automation into CI/CD pipelines to strengthen policy enforcement.

The role demands hands-on DevSecOps experience in large organisations, the ability to translate regulatory and data privacy requirements into automated controls,

Qualifications

• Hands-on DevSecOps practices in enterprise environments.
• Experience using AI/LLM tools to automate governance, policy checks, or code review workflows.
• Translate complex regulatory, security, and privacy requirements into automated software controls.
• Proficiency with scripting (Python, Bash) and APIs to integrate AI into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to drive security culture changes.

Responsibilities

• AI-Driven Security Governance—Design, implement, enforce governance frameworks, guardrails and compliance using AI and LLMs.
• Automated Policy Enforcement—Build AI-assisted controls for automated code review, policy validation, threat modeling within CI/CD.
• Responsible AI & Security Standards—Establish security baselines for developer AI usage and data privacy.
• Pipeline Integration & Shift-Left—Integrate AI testing and automated remediation into CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Cross-Functional Leadership—Partner with Security Architecture, Engineering Leads, and Product Teams to define AI governance roadmaps and drive adoption among squads.
