Job summary

Services Australia is seeking an AI Cloud Engineer at EL1 to provide technical leadership across AI, cloud, data, and security domains. You will collaborate with software, cloud, and data engineers to deliver scalable and secure AI-enabled services within compliant, secure cloud environments.

Under limited direction, you will guide complex initiatives, influence strategic technology choices, and mentor staff while aligning with APS values and operational resilience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, deployment and support of AI-enabled applications and services.
• Develop scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and DevSecOps capabilities.
• Oversee software development and CI/CD in line with standards.
• Translate complex requirements into technical designs and guidance.
• Resolve advanced issues affecting development, testing and production environments.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance and development standards.
• Prepare technical designs and briefing material for diverse audiences.
• Lead and mentor staff and promote APS values and conduct.
