Job description

Seeking an AI Analyst for our key state government client. This is a 12-month initial contract with possibilities of extensions.

  • The AI Analyst will be responsible for evaluating the use of artificial intelligence across the organization to support the department’s strategic objectives. This role involves reviewing data and AI systems to ensure they align with legal requirements and ethical standards.
  • You will collaborate with a range of stakeholders to promote the responsible use of AI, ensuring technologies are applied safely and appropriately.
  • Your work helps maintain high-quality AI systems that uphold privacy, deliver stakeholder value, and contribute positively to the wider community.
Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the AI Governance Lead to explore business opportunities and evaluate the potential of AI technologies, supporting strategic planning and execution of AI initiatives.
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of existing AI systems and applications, delivering detailed reports on their performance and identifying opportunities for improvement, while ensuring alignment with ethical standards and governance frameworks.
  • Partner with tech teams to stay current on AI tools, promoting emerging technologies that drive efficiency and align with governance standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate AI project impacts and ensure their input shapes the overall AI strategy.
  • Contribute to risk management by assessing AI and data projects for potential issues and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations to mitigate risks before implementation.
  • Ensure data quality by regularly validating AI data sets to support accurate and reliable outcomes.
Requirements
  • Certified or formally trained in AI analytics, machine learning, or data analysis, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional growth in AI.
  • Proven practical experience with AI/ML tools and platforms, with the ability to interpret and apply AI technologies to inform business decisions.
  • Skilled in data analysis and statistical modeling, with strong data visualization abilities to effectively communicate insights.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, enabling evidence-based analysis and sound conclusions to support AI project goals and risk management.
