Salary: RM Level 2 $104,903 - $110,752 p.a. pro rata (exclusive of 11.5% superannuation) plus generous salary packaging and additional allowances as outlined in the award where appropriate

Applications are open for Clinical Midwives to join Armadale Health Service and become part of the team at one of our most inclusive hospitals within East Metropolitan Health Services (EMHS). The role provides an opportunity to practice women centred care within the scope of practice for a Registered Midwife.

Armadale Health Service offers a community focussed model of maternity care that provides collaborative and integrative services to address the needs of the women and their families. Our Clinical Midwives work across a range of both ambulatory and non-ambulatory services, providing advanced knowledge, clinical support, leadership and supervision across our Midwifery Antenatal Clinics, Antenatal Assessment Unit (AAU), Birthing Suite and the Postnatal ward. Armadale Health Service can also offer Clinical Midwives to work in the Midwifery Antenatal and Postnatal service (MAPS) and Midwifery Group Practice including the award winning Boodjari Yorgas service supporting Aboriginal maternal health and wellbeing.

This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time.

This recruitment pool will be open for 12 months, and the following should be noted:

  • The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications throughout this timeframe and will assess on a regular basis.
  • Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool and appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur within any EMHS facility.
  • Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/08/2026.

Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract. Employer Sponsored Visa nomination and relocation may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Applicants must hold Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife (or be eligible to apply).
