Job summary

Hymix Australia is hiring Agi Drivers to operate our concrete agitator trucks from the Belmont Plant, south of Newcastle. You’ll deliver to diverse customers, interact with people daily, and represent the brand on a mobile basis.

The role is full‑time with early start times (4am–6am). A 10‑day training program with experienced drivers precedes solo driving, and uniforms/PPE are provided. Opportunities for career growth exist nationwide.

Qualifications

• HR license required (essential) with HR driving experience preferred.
• Current Construction White Card or willingness to obtain one before start.
• Strong people skills and ability to chat with onsite customers.
• Finish with pride in the appearance of the truck and be a mobile company ambassador.

Driving a concrete agitator truck for Hymix Australia is more than just going from A to B.

Our Agi Drivers are the face of our business, providing top-notch customer service to our clients. You'll be making multiple deliveries throughout the day, interacting with a variety of people.

Every day is different-there's nothing routine about this role!

What's the Job Like?

• Location: You'll be based out of the Belmont Concrete Plant, just 30 minutes south of Newcastle.
• Hours: This is a full-time position, and most rostered days will start between 4am and 6am.
• Pay: We pay a base hourly rate of $32.67 on a weekly pay cycle. OT is generally paid after 8 hours at time and a half and double time and a meal allowance once you go over 10 hours in a day.
• Customer Interaction: Driving an Agi is like being a Customer Service Agent on wheels. You'll meet lots of different personalities every day, so being comfortable with new people is a must.
• Technology: We provide cutting-edge technology to keep you safe, help you map your routes, and track your loads.
• Training: All new hires go through a 10-day training program with our experienced driver trainers before hitting the road solo.
  

About You:

• License: You must have a minimum of an HR license (essential) with previous HR driving experience (preferred).
• White Card: You will have a current valid Construction White Card, or be willing to obtain one before you start.
• People Skills: You enjoy meeting people and having a chat when you're onsite.
• Variety: You prefer variety in your work. No two days are the same when you're driving one of our Agi trucks.
• Pride in Your Ride: You take pride in the appearance of your truck. Keeping it clean and presentable is important-you are a mobile billboard for our company.
• Medical Check: Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all Heidelberg sites).
• Safety: Some of our trucks have driver weight limits on their seats and seatbelts. For safety reasons, you may need to be under a specified weight for these trucks.
