Job summary

NX Blue Pty Ltd is seeking an Agitator Driver for a short-term casual assignment on the Snowy 2.0 project in New South Wales. You will safely deliver premixed concrete to designated locations and perform routine inspections of the mixer to ensure safety and quality.

The role requires adherence to safety legislation, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and flexibility to handle variable hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• 2+ years agitator driver experience on tier1/2 sites.
• Commitment to safety and knowledge of safety regulations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform routine vehicle checks.
• Physical fitness and flexibility for variable hours.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an agitator truck to deliver premixed concrete to designated locations.
• Conduct thorough inspections of the concrete mixer to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Comply with all relevant safety, health, and environmental legislation to maintain a safe working environment.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and work instructions, including drivers' instructions.
• Assist with regular maintenance activities as directed by supervisors, including completing the Daily Operator Checklist and ensuring truck and mixer cleanliness.
• Conduct regular inspections of the concrete in the mixer to ensure it conforms to the nominated specifications.
• Monitor and maintain the slump of each load within tolerance limits.

• Previous experience of plus 2 years experience as an agitator driver on similar tier1 and tier 2 construction sites is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of safety regulations.
• Excellent communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to perform routine checks.
• Physical fitness to handle the demands of the job.
• Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
