Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a casual Agitator Driver based in Townsville. You will operate a concrete agitator truck, make multiple deliveries each day, and interact with customers.

Most shifts start early (between 2am and 7am) with up to 10 hours per day and 50–55 hours per week; overtime rates apply and Saturday work is available.

Drive and Deliver

Driving a concrete agitator truck for Heidelberg Materials is more than just going from A to B and back again. Our Agitator drivers provide high levels of customer service to our clients receiving our products, becoming the face of our business. As an Agi Driver, you will be making multiple deliveries throughout the day and interacting with lots of different people. Every day will be different, there's nothing routine about this role!

About the role

Casual position based in Townsville! Hourly rate + 25% casual loading + super + overtime (rate X 1.5 after 8 hours, rate X 2.0 after 10 hours). Most days will start between 2am and 7am and drivers can do up to and over 10 hours per day, and around 50-55 hours per week. Saturday work is generally available, paid at overtime rates.

About you

• Minimum of HR license (essential) with previous driving experience (preferred)
• You enjoy meeting people and having a chat with them when you're onsite
• You prefer variety in your working life. No two days are ever the same when you're driving one of our Agi trucks
• You take pride in the appearance of your truck. Keep it clean, give it a wash and present the best image of our company. You are a mobile billboard and people notice a dirty truck
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all Heidelberg Materials sites)
