Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a Heavy Rigid Truck Driver for our Albury, NSW operations to operate a concrete agitator and deliver to various project sites. The role emphasizes safety, on-time delivery, and high-quality customer service.

You will perform pre-start inspections, liaise with site staff, and help maintain a safe working environment while meeting CoR requirements and company standards. Training and career progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence or higher.
• Experience with agitator trucks is desirable but not essential.
• White Card or willingness to obtain one is required.

About the Role

Reporting to the Concrete Plant Manager, you will:

• - Safely operate a concrete agitator truck
• - Deliver concrete to residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects
• - Conduct daily pre-start inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
• - Provide outstanding customer service to clients on site
• - Work closely with plant staff to ensure efficient and timely deliveries
• - Adhere to workplace safety procedures and road transport regulations
• - Maintain a strong commitment to Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• - A current Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence or higher
• - Previous agitator driving experience (desirable but not essential)
• - A current White Card, or willingness to obtain one
• - A strong focus on safety and compliance
• - Knowledge of fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility principles
• - Excellent communication and customer service skills
• - A positive attitude and reliable work ethic
• - The ability to work independently and as part of a team
