Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a Heavy Rigid Truck Driver at our Albury NSW site to safely deliver concrete and support timely, quality deliveries for local projects.

You will operate modern agitator trucks, perform inspections, and maintain high safety and customer service standards while collaborating with plant staff and drivers across the network.

Qualifications

• Current Heavy Rigid (HR) licence or higher required.
• White Card required or willingness to obtain.
• Commitment to safety, fatigue management and CoR standards.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with agitator trucks is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a concrete agitator truck.
• Deliver concrete to residential, commercial, and infrastructure sites.
• Perform daily pre-start inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Provide on-site customer service.
• Coordinate with plant staff to ensure timely deliveries.
• Follow safety procedures and road transport regulations.
• Maintain Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance.

About the Role

Reporting to the Concrete Plant Manager, you will:

• Safely operate a concrete agitator truck
• Deliver concrete to residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
• Provide outstanding customer service to clients on site
• Work closely with plant staff to ensure efficient and timely deliveries
• Adhere to workplace safety procedures and road transport regulations
• Maintain a strong commitment to Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A current Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence or higher
• Previous agitator driving experience (desirable but not essential)
• A current White Card, or willingness to obtain one
• A strong focus on safety and compliance
• Knowledge of fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility principles
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A positive attitude and reliable work ethic
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
