Job Description

About The Role:

We are seeking anAgentic Product Lead to join as a contractor with a strong pathway to a full-time position, reporting directly to the CTO and operating across Product, Engineering, GTM, and Channel Partners.

Rather than tweaking existing features, your mission is to drive market-disrupting product innovation by answering one core question: What else do our customers pay for or do by hand that an AI agent should perform? Living in the field, you will meet weekly with ELMO customers and channel partners to map tech stacks, evaluate manual friction points, analyse the HR landscape, and identify adjacent point solutions across our HCM, Rostering, Time & Attendance, and Payroll systems.

You will translate direct market insights into decision-grade PRDs; complete with agent scope, human-in-the-loop oversight checkpoints, and evaluation harnesses, while building stress-tested pricing models alongside RevOps to secure executive buy-in. As engineering squads build through our AI-SDLC, you will orchestrate cross-functional delivery, unblock execution, protect product intent from PRD to launch, and track post-launch displacement and adoption metrics. Ideal candidates bring deep fluency in agentic AI capabilities (tool-calling, orchestration, guardrails), a track record in mixed-methods customer discovery, strong commercial modelling skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer & Channel Field Research: Conduct at least 10 customer interviews per week and maintain an active cadence with key channel partners to map customer stacks, identify pain points, and uncover displacement opportunities.

Displacement Opportunity Pipeline: Identify, size, and sequence agentic AI opportunities that replace adjacent vendor software, point solutions, and manual workflows.

Solution Definition & PRDs: Develop detailed PRDs defining agent scope, autonomy levels, human-in-the-loop oversight checkpoints, eval approaches, and technical platform dependencies.

Commercial Modelling: Build and stress-test pricing and commercial models (per-seat, outcome, or hybrid) alongside RevOps for every proposed agent before executive review.

Delivery Orchestration: Present business cases directly to the CTO and executive team to secure delivery capacity. Orchestrate cross-functional engineering squads across product lines to ensure approved agents ship on time without taking over direct engineering management.

GTM & Partner Enablement: Partner with Sales Enablement, Product Marketing, and Channel Partners to launch agents with clear value and displacement narratives.

What We Are Looking For:

Agentic AI & LLM Fluency: Practical understanding of agent capabilities, orchestration, tool-calling, guardrails, failure modes, and running evaluation harnesses (evals).

Strategic Mindset: Ability to map a customer's entire software stack, identify vendor/manual vulnerabilities and quantify displaced spend.

Mixed-Methods Research Mastery: Proven track record of high-volume customer discovery, contextual inquiry, design thinking, and data synthesis.

Commercial Acumen: Expertise in building pricing models, unit economics, and business cases that survive executive scrutiny.

Trust & Oversight Design: Deep awareness of human-agent interaction models, autonomy levels, auditability, and safety mechanisms.

Cross-Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence, unblock, and hold delivery intent across teams you do not directly manage.

Domain Experience: Background in HR Tech, HCM, Payroll, or Workforce Management is highly desirable.

Core Success Indicators:

Running 10 customer interviews/week and maintaining standing channel partner feedback.

100% of proposed agents backed by a validated PRD and stress-tested commercial model.

Approved agents placed into build with clear delivery plans within 4 weeks of approval.

Post-launch tracking against displacement targets and customer value metrics.
