Qualifications

• Must have annual flu vaccination and be fully immunised against COVID-19.
• Must sign a statutory declaration regarding serious criminal activity outside Australia.
• One year of full-time on-the-job experience.
• All appointments subject to satisfactory police check with no disclosures.
• Certificate III in a relevant field or equivalent.
• Current driver's license and own transportation.
• Loves to work in a great team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate documentation including notes, assessments and care plans.
• Observe and document changes in resident needs.
• Ensure clean linen and bed making for residents.
• Assist residents with mobility and daily activities.
• Deliver laundered clothing to residents' rooms accurately.
• Assist with meals and support residents during dining.
• Support independence with personal care according to care plans.
• Liaise with staff, residents, visitors, GPs and allied health professionals.
• Protect residents' rights, privacy and individual choice.
• Provide emotional support and participate in the care team.

Job Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up to date documentation including notes, assessments and care plans
• Observe, report and document all change in resident need requirements
• Ensure maintenance of clean linen, and making of beds for residents
• Assisting residents with mobility.
• Accurately deliver laundered clothing to residents' rooms
• Assist with the serving of meals assisting residents as required
• Assist in the delivery of specialised nursing needs for residents
• Assisting in personal hygiene and dressing
• Support independence of residents by providing appropriate assistance with personal care in accordance with care plans
• Liaise with staff, residents, visitors, GPs and allied health professionals to provide prompt and friendly service
• Act to protect the rights of residents including confidentiality, privacy, individual choice and decision-making
• Provide emotional support to residents
• Actively participate in the Care team environment
• Build and maintain effective relationships
• Ensure compliance against the Aged Care Standards is maintained where appropriate
• Be responsive to the needs of the company and its changing environment
• Attend meetings and compulsory education as required
• Identify self-education needs
• Participate in safety and improvement activities for the organization
• Identify and report areas of risk (including complaints) within the scope of the position
• Demonstrate adherence to all OH & S policies and procedures
• Display responsibility for self, team and environment
