Job summary

Healthscope’s Sydney Clinic is seeking a Part-Time Social Worker to cover maternity leave, starting early March 2027. The role offers flexible days for 15.2 hours per week in a boutique private psychiatric facility near Bronte Beach.

You will work independently and with a multidisciplinary team, delivering psychotherapy groups and liaising with the treating psychiatrist. Eligibility for AASW and a Social Work qualification are required.

About the role:

We are looking for a Part-Time Fixed Term Social Worker (Maternity Leave Cover - with a tentative starting date of the 1st of March 2027) with a passion for excellence in customer service delivery to join our team, to work 15.2 hours a week, the days and times can be flexible according to the needs of the successful candidate and the service.

As a Social Worker your responsibilities will include:

Working independently with the patients and as a multidisciplinary team member of mental health professionals; and to liaise closely with the treating psychiatrist. You will offer a broad range of psychotherapeutic groups and activities, some including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Men's Group, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Psycho education, etc.

Selection Criteria:

• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Social Work
• Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
• Ability to work autonomously
• Well-developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisation, time management and self-management skills
• Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work within and provide leadership within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence-based practice
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence desirable

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF- NSW Allied Health -Enterprise Agreement a salary based on your years of experience.
