BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking Personal Care Workers to support older people in their homes across Bass Coast and surrounding areas. You will assist with daily tasks, provide companionship, and help clients maintain independence in the place they call home.

We offer flexible hours, comprehensive training, and opportunities for career progression within BaptistCare. A driver licence and First Aid are required, with ongoing learning and support from a dedicated supervisor.

Formación

• Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence with Third-Party Property Damage Insurance.
• Certificate III in aged care or Individual support or above.
• Current Level II First Aid Certificate.
• Proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email.
• Warm, respectful, and caring approach.
• Patience, resilience, and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and willingness to build genuine relationships with client.

Responsabilidades

• Support older people in their own homes across Bass Coast and Surrounding areas.
• Assist with household tasks, showering and dressing, meal preparation, continence support, medication assistance or transport to appointments and activities.
• Provide companionship, conversation, and a friendly face.
• Help clients live safely and independently in the place they call home.

About the role

As a Personal Care Support Worker with BaptistCare, you’ll support older people in their own homes across Bass Coast and Surrounding areas.

Every day is different. You might help with household tasks, showering and dressing, meal preparation, continence support, medication assistance or transport to appointments and local activities.

Just as importantly, you’ll provide companionship, conversation, and a friendly face.

In a rural community, those connections matter. You’ll get to know your clients, understand what is important to them and support them to continue living safely and independently in the place they call home.

What you’ll bring

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who genuinely cares about people.

You’ll bring:

• Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance to transport clients
• Completed Certificate III in aged care or Individual support or above.
• Current valid Level II First Aid Certificate
• You will be a proficient user of smartphone technology, apps and email
• A warm, respectful, and caring approach
• Patience, resilience, and the ability to work independently
• Good communication skills and a willingness to build genuine relationships with client
