BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking casual carers for our 99-bed Rockingham facility. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team to provide person-centred care supporting residents’ wellbeing and enabling individual goals and meaningful daily activities.

Experience with dementia care is essential. Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, meals, and supervision across morning, afternoon, and night shifts. A supportive, faith‑based workplace offers opportunities for growth.

About the role:

Based at our 99-bed facility in Rockingham, you’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide person-centred care that supports residents’ physical, emotional and social wellbeing. You’ll help residents achieve their individual goals, maintain their independence and take part in meaningful daily activities that enhance their quality of life. Experience supporting people living with dementia is essential, including understanding their individual needs and providing compassionate support with their day-to-day activities.

Your responsibilities will include promoting independence, collaborating with staff and nursing teams, and assisting with daily tasks such as personal care, mobility, meals, household duties and leisure activities. You will follow care plans to provide safe, person-centred support, maintain a clean and safe environment, encourage social connection and wellbeing, and adhere to infection control, safety and regulatory requirements.

Shift times:

• AM: 07:00 – 15:00
• PM: 14:45 – 21:45/22:45
• ND : 22:30 – 07:15

Applicants must be available to work a minimum of 3 days per week across morning, afternoon and night duty shifts, including availability over the Christmas period.

About you:

• Holds or is currently working towards a Certificate III in Aged Care (or similar), or undertaking undergraduate Registered Nurse studies
• Demonstrates an understanding of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and reflects its values in the workplace
• Delivers care using a person-centred approach
• Works effectively and contributes positively within a team environment
• Communicates well and builds relationships with people from diverse backgrounds, including CALD communities
• Follows written and verbal instructions accurately
• Manages a busy workload and adapts to changing priorities
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to customer‑focused careHas basic to intermediate IT skills across a range of applications
