Job summary

Uniting is seeking a dedicated Care Worker to provide compassionate, person-centred care for residents in our aged care facility in New South Wales. The role covers morning, afternoon and night shifts on a permanent part-time basis, with casual arrangements also considered.

A minimum availability of two days per week is required. You will support residents to remain independent, assist with daily living tasks, and help with mobility and wellbeing in a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
• Demonstrates empathy, patience and strong communication skills.
• Be adaptable and respectful, aligning with Uniting’s values.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents to enhance independence and quality of life.
• Assist with daily living activities including showering, hygiene, dressing, meals and mobility.
• Assist with medication administration and wound care as appropriate.
• Support residents in community-based social and recreational activities.
