Job description

As a Caregiver with Dovida, you'll provide more than just support—you'll be a source of comfort, connection, and joy for those in your care. Whether it's assisting with daily tasks, offering companionship, or simply brightening someone's day, your presence will make all the difference.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide in-home care, assisting with daily living activities such as showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, and laundry & ironing.
  • Deliver personalised care aligned with each client's Care Plan.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the client's health or behavior.
  • Work as a team to create a positive experience for our clients.
  • Provide support with transportation needs, helping with shopping trips and appointments, to empower active community participation.

ABOUT YOU

  • Have a big heart, patience, and a desire to help improve the lives of seniors and their families.
  • Be personable, compassionate, approachable, and able to build relationships.
  • Must be located within Lower North Shore and surrounding suburbs willing to travel a reasonable distance from client to client.
  • Must be available in the mornings from 8am onwards at least 2-3 days a week.
  • Must have a laptop/tablet and mobile smart phone to be able to navigate through various applications.
  • Available to attend 2 days of paid training at our Thornleigh training Academy. This takes place Monday and Tuesday 9am-5pm.
  • Must have a valid Australian open driver license, access to a reliable car, and have comprehensive car insurance.
  • Applicants must have permanent or temporary rights to work in Australia with no restrictions.
  • Have a recent National Police Check no older than 90 days or be willing to obtain.
